Our support of Sinai Health’s award-winning Safe Patients/Safe Staff (“SPSS”) program is enhancing care for older adults with challenging behaviours related to dementia and improving safety for health-care providers across Ontario.

 In February, Yorkville hosted our 8^th annual Investment Forecast Series across Ottawa and Toronto. The events were well attended with affluent members of the community coming together to hear Hussein Amad, our President & CEO, provide our outlook of 2019. Below are the key takeaways:

• Core to Yorkville’s investment philosophy is our continued investments in the global health care sector;
• The Age of Intelligence (smart technology) is another core strategy;
• Further investment into payment systems and regional US banks;
• Satellite strategies include increasing investments in industrials (defence), infrastructure, shipping, China, and cannabis related to health care.

We also heard from a panel of Yorkville’s finest, discussing new and different investment opportunities available at Yorkville.

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Olsheskie who was awarded the 2018 Yorkville Asset Management Scholarship of Excellence. This scholarship recognizes high scholastic achievement in the 3 year Business Administration – Finance Program at Algonquin College. We are proud to be in partnership with Algonquin College, and wish Kaitlyn all the success as she pursues her career in the finance industry.

Yorkville was the proud sponsor of the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation’s National Philanthropy Day dinner in Grimsby, ON. We gathered together to celebrate and understand the meaning behind this day, and to hear from Michel Chikwanine, a former child soldier from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Michel’s story was humbling and inspiring, and we thank him for taking the time to share it with us.

Yorkville recently reached the Founder donor level ($100,000+) with the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation, which works with the community to help raise funds for West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby, ON.
