Stephen McDermott

Steve is the owner and principal of SJM Consulting which provides Human Resource services in the areas of job description writing, classification, organizational analysis and design, grievance resolution, facilitation and project management. He has significant experience in both the public and private sectors and has a Master's Certificate in Project Management as well as a number of human resources accreditations. Stephen is board member for Comtech Fire Credit Union where he sits as Chair of the Governance Committee as well as for the Director's Forum where he is an Executive Committee member.

He also supports a number of charities including the Kidscome 1st golf tournament. Stephen brings over 37 years of diversified experience to Yorkville, providing guidance and counsel on business development and strategic initiatives.

Jeffrey Dale

Jeffrey Dale is the co-founder and a corporate director for the Odawa Group Inc. The Odawa Group began operations in December 2009 developing new approaches to creating financial models for long term funding of Infrastructure projects. The Odawa Group is currently focused on creating a new Chartered Bank in Canada that will focus on debt funding Infrastructure Projects from Federal, Provincial and Municipal Governments. Mr. Dale has worked on Infrastructure Projects with Canada Post, Royal Ottawa Hospital, Ottawa International Airport Authority and the University of Ottawa.

Mr. Dale co-founded Snowy Cloud Inc. a management consulting company in 2010 to support public and private sector clients on innovation, entrepreneurship and transition planning. He currently works with Welch Group LLP as part of their Chairman’s View program which assists business owners in maximizing the value of their business prior to a sale or transfer.

Mr. Dale is the former President and CEO of the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI),Ottawa's lead economic development agency until March 2009. OCRI, under the leadership of Mr. Dale, solidified Ottawa as a gateway to innovation, research, entrepreneurship and investment.

Prior to his appointment at OCRI, Mr. Dale was an executive for a number of companies in Ottawa’s robust Technology sector. His past positions included; President of KOM NETWORKS Inc., a fast growing company focused on providing innovative data management products; Vice-President, Business Development for Peleton Photonic Systems Inc, a startup for next generation optical networking equipment; and, Vice-President of Sales for SHL Systemhouse, the largest Canadian systems integration company with global operations.

From 2002 to 2006 Mr. Dale was Chairman of the Board of Centillion Industries a publically traded company on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX.V:CID). Mr. Dale was a founder in the creation of Centillion Industries and their IPO as a Capital Pool Corporation (CPC).

Mr. Dale is an active member of the Ottawa business community and volunteers his time for a number of community service activities. Currently, Mr. Dale serves on United Way’s Board of Directors and the Ottawa Local Immigration Partnership (OLIP). He is past Chair of the board for the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group, and a past board member of the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa International Airport Authority.

In 2002, Mr. Dale received the Trudeau Medal from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. In 2008, Mr. Dale was awarded the Businessman of the Year Award for Ottawa and in 2011 Mr. Dale was honoured as the Volunteer of the Year by the United Way of Ottawa.

Gary Seveny

Gary Seveny has enjoyed a successful career in the financial services industry. His career spans several decades of executive leadership and being a center of influence within the industry. Gary Seveny joined the Board of Yorkville Asset Management in January 2011 and is currently Chair of the Board. Solid Governance, Compliance and performance consistency are his guiding principles. His passion for innovation in financial services led to the creation of Apaylo Financial Services Inc. with his partners. He is currently Executive Director and Chair of the Board of Apaylo, a successful Fintech/Paytech. Gary Seveny proudly led Alterna Savings and Credit Union, as President and CEO, to establish Alterna Bank of Canada in 2000 as one of the first banks under the revised Bank Act. During his tenure, he led several mergers and acquisitions. Gary Seveny believes in continuous learning and in addition to his MBA, is a graduate of the Profession Director Program (ProDir) of governance. He served in governance roles with Payments Canada, Interac anseveral payment services entities in Canada and USA. Gary Seveny has been an active advocate for regulatory reform in the payments system and the financial industry.
