Enhance your portfolio with Yorkville’s two new equity solutions

Yorkville prides itself on providing an exceptional customer experience to all of its clients. We like to think of every client as an extended part of the Yorkville family. All the events we host are planned with the purpose of ensuring all our clients are given the opportunity to get to know the individuals within the firm who are part of the day-to-day management of their portfolios.

This summer, one such event took the form of our 2^nd Annual Golf Invitational at Magna Golf Club in Aurora on August 5, 2014. As Magna is a famed golf and social club usually reserved exclusively for members, invitations were extended as a gesture of appreciation to those select individuals in our community who have been clients and supporters of Yorkville and its staff through its growth over the past four years.

Magna offers a 7300 yard course that has been played by some of the world’s most revered players including Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia and Mike Weir. Yorkville staff, clients and close friends were treated to a full round of golf, personal caddy per foursome and a fantastic dinner in the course’s European-style club house. Regardless of skill level, to play the course was an experience for experienced and novice golfers alike. Thank you again for all those who joined us; without your unwavering support Yorkville would not be the fast growing company it is now.

After the success of last year’s summer wine event, Yorkville hosted its 2^nd annual wine tasting at the Shangri-La Hotel on September 11, 2014. Located in downtown Toronto in the midst of the Toronto International Film Festival, the event brought together over 120 of Yorkville’s clients and friends for a tutored wine tasting featuring wines from the esteemed Antinori Winery in Tuscany.

The tasting was led by the head of exports for Antinori, Mr. Niccolo Maltinti, and introduced guests to some of the most sought after Italian wines, including the Tiganello and a rare sparkling rose wine; this rose was so limited that only eight bottles were available in Canada at the time.  

Guests were also treated to musical entertainment courtesy of Bellosound and violin soloist Sarah Davidson Gurney. Yorkville President Hussein Amad also made a brief presentation on the challenges faced in the markets in the first half of 2014, as well as what the company hopes to achieve as we embark on the close of summer and enter the fourth quarter of 2014.
